The Manchester and Stockport District have designated the 2018-19 Connexional Year as a Year of Prayer for Discernment. There shall be prayer events across the district throughout the year. The Shaw and Royton Circuit are joining in with this.

Our first initiative is going to take place during Advent. "Lighting the Path Ahead" is the initiative in which we invite people to receive a candle and commit themselves to praying, twice a week, using the flame as a focus.

Julie Owen, our Circuit Prayer Champion, says that as we light our candle and pray we shall know that we do so in solidarity with others.
