Twenty six members of the Shaw and Royton Circuit met together with the District Mission Enabler, Church Planting Officer and Regional Learning Network in order to talk about the mission of the Circuit.

The group met at the Chapel in the Fields near Dunham Massey.

The topic of the conversation was mission, pioneering work creating new places for new people as well as the work of encouraging our existing groups.

The work of the Shaw & Royton Circuit is covered by all five of our churches across the towns of Shaw and Royton. We celebrated and affirmed the great work that is taking place and committed ourselves to continue to develop and support this work. We also recognised that there are opportunities for new work with new people.

The Circuit is seeking to employ a pioneer missioner to assist us in our work. The missioner will spend 80% of their time seeking to develop work in High Crompton, which needs an "extra push" and 20% of their time enabling and encouraging the wider circuit.
